Trimble MAPS creates and maintains the North American rail network map database that is used in PC*MILER Rail. Railinc’s Industry Reference Files are used to obtain the list of active railroads, freight stations and junction interchanges. The rail line data and routing attributes were originally developed using railroad timetables, and are now maintained internally at Trimble MAPS using information from railroads and Surface Transportation Board (STB) Decision Notices, as well as industry magazines.
Where do you get the rail data?
