Depending on the types of data you are licensed to use with your PC*MILER Web Services|Spreadsheets API key, you can enter origins and destinations in the following ways.
City/State Pairs or ZIP/Postal Codes
Some examples:
U.S.
Princeton, NJ or 08540
Canada
Toronto, ON or M4B 1B7
Mexico
Cancun, QR or 77500

Latitude/Longitude Points
Latitude/longitude points can be entered as stops on a route in degrees minutes seconds format or decimal degrees (e.g. 0401750N,0742131W or 40.297222N,74.358611W).
Here is an example of a lat/long near Kendall Park, NJ in both formats:
0402515N,0743340W or 40.420833N,74.561111W
Latitude/Longitude Points with Street Addresses
This functionality will geocode the lat/long to the nearest point on the particular street in the address, rather than to the nearest street in the direction of travel, as would be the case for a lat/long by itself.
The lat/long is added before the address, followed by a semicolon. An example is:
40.211670N,74.703480W;1200 Kuser Road
Street Address with City/State
All street addresses MUST be separated from the preceding place name by a semicolon.
new york, ny;118 broadway
SPLC
A nine-digit Standard Point Location Code can be entered if you are licensed for that data.
191690000
Custom Places
