Routing Issues Fixed
Amtrak (AMTK)
Needed to fix Amtrak operating rights in the Kansas City MO metropolitan area. Research indicated that we had incorrectly mapped the Amtrak Southwest Chief and Amtrak Missouri River Runner routes.
- Moved Kansas City MO Amtrak station to 94.586080W, 39.086459N (the site of Kansas City Union station).
- Moved Lawrence KS Amtrak station to 95.238427W, 38.974672N.
- Moved Topeka KS Amtrak station to 95.662959W, 39.053579N.
- Removed Amtrak operating rights from the tracks located on the north side of the Kansas River from Sheep Jump MO to Topeka KS.
- Added Amtrak operating rights onto the tracks located on the south side of the Kansas River from Sheep Jump MO to Topeka KS.
BNSF
The following edits were performed to reflect changes reported by BNSF. Some MLC values were modified in order to run all BNSF commodities traffic flows via the Marceline Subdivision (via Congo MO) and avoid the downtown Kansas City MO area.
- Changed existing MLC values between junction (94.602201W, 39.079717N) just west of KC Union Station MO and CA Jct MO.
- Changed existing MLC values between junction (94.602201W, 39.079717N) just west of KC Union Station MO and Sumner MO.
UP
UP activated 13 stations in southeastern Colorado (located between Olney Springs CO and Stuart CO). These include the following stations: Olney Springs CO, Crowley CO, Ordway CO, Sugar City CO, Adobe Creek CO, Arlington CO, Haswell CO, Galatea CO, Eads CO, Chivington CO, Brandon CO, Sheridan Lake CO and Stuart CO. This modification may legitimately change some UP routing profiles in this geographical region. Some UP routes no longer double back via Kansas.
