Multiple Geocoding Results
The Provide Pick List option is checked by default. When entering a stop along a route, this option provides a pick list of postal codes if there is more than one instance of a location in the database. The order in which locations are listed is based on such factors as population and geographic centrality. When this option is not checked, PC*MILER will select the first match that is found in the database.
Postal Code Preference
Use the drop-down to select how PC*MILER handles Mexican and U.S. locations that have the same postal code:
- Use Default US Zip Codes: This option is selected by default. The default U.S. ZIP code will be returned. Mexican codes cannot be entered.
- Use Default Mexican Zip Codes: The default Mexican postal code will be returned. U.S. codes cannot be entered.
- Use Default US and Mexican Zip Codes: The default U.S. ZIP code will be returned. However, Mexican codes can be entered with “EM” as the state abbreviation; for example, “50510, EM”.
NL Abbreviation
Choose whether to Use NL For Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada (this option is selected by default) or Use NL For Nuevo Leon in Mexico.
