Microsoft has announced that by Jan. 14, 2020, it will end support for its Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Server 2008 R2 operating systems. As a result, starting with next year's version 34, PC*MILER installed desktop software will no longer be tested and verified for use on machines running those retiring operating systems.

This change will have NO impact on PC*MILER 33—the current version released in June 2019—or any older PC*MILER versions you might be running on these retiring operating systems. (Please see a full list of PC*MILER’s supported operating systems by version.)

If you attempt to install PC*MILER 34 on these operating systems, you will receive a warning message that the operating system is not supported. (The software may still install and work properly, but it will not have been tested on those older operating systems.)

In its announcement, Microsoft recommends that “you upgrade to the latest cloud or on-premise version to remain secure.”
